Practice Makes Perfect

I go to LasVegas pretty often and just this year I started to play blackjack.I hang around the low dollar minimum tables gaining alot of play time and thus gaining experience.I am finding myself walking away with 2 or 3 hundred dollars more than what I start with.I find that the hours of playtime and exposure to the endless combinations of hands has been taking my game to a higher level and and I feel comfortable around the usually novice crowd at the 2 dollar tables.

Honeymoon in Vegas

It was my first trip to Vegas, and not only was I happy to get the chance to play blackjack, but I was also there to get married. Before the trip, a friend had given me a Basic Strategy chart. I began studying the chart everyday for 2-weeks before the trip. As soon as my fiancee and I checked in to Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, we dropped our bags off in the room, and then hit the tables. Using Basic Strategy, I played for 4 hours, got all my drinks for free, and was up $50. Needless to say, I was happy, my main objective was not to lose. The next day, well I got hitched, and since it only takes 30 minutes to get married in Vegas, that leaves plenty of time to play games, if you know what I mean. So, after tying the knot, the new wife and I decided to go down to the casino and do some more gambling. My wife played the slots, and I stuck with the blackjack table. I had similar results again, I played for about 3 hours, got my drinks for free, and was up about $20 when I left the table, and this was after tips that I had payed to the waitress and the dealer. So all in all I considered it a success. On our last day in Vegas, my wife had given up hope on striking it big with the slots, so she decided to join me at the blackjack table. We sat down at the table at around 4 in the afternoon. I would coach her when she needed help, but there were times when she wanted to go with her hunches, even though I suggested she should stick to the basic strategy method I was using. What can I say, I had been married one day and I was already whipped. We both played blackjack until 1oclock in the morning. We played 9 hours straight before calling it a night. There was a time when we were up $500, but we just kept playing. We were having fun and it was our last night in Vegas. So by the time we had left the table we were up $300. The only money we had lost was at the slots. After practicing blackjack with the basic strategy for only 2 weeks, I was very pleased with the results. Now when I play I use a progressive betting system, and I have had great results.

The Mighty Mississippi was mighty good to me

I was staying at Harrahs in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and had great success with the Level 5 progressive betting system, along with using basic strategy. I came away with $600 dollars profit after playing blackjack for about 6 hours on a Sunday evening. The dealers weren't very sharp, so you have to watch them.
