The first thing to know is the layout of the blackjack table. The typical casino blackjack table is set up with seven different betting stations, but some games allow as few as five betting spots. The dealer is working for the house, and he or she stands behind the table and distributes the cards to the players.

The sign at the table will announce the minimum and maximum bets for the table, and this should be your guide. After you have selected a table, you will buy in to obtain your chips.
